Internal Medicine Meeting 2025 was held in New Orleans, Louisiana April 3-5 and had an attendance of over 8,200 physicians. The event featured more than 200 sessions covering a wide variety of clinical and practice management topics for doctors of internal medicine and its subspecialties. 828 attendees from outside the United States came to the meeting. The top three countries outside the United States with the highest number of registrants were Canada, Mexico, and Dominican Republic.
ACP once again offered international individual registration rates, as well as specially priced delegation rates, for attendees from around the world. A total of ten delegations (10 or more physicians registered as a group) came from Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, India, Mexico, Panama, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland.
At the Convocation Ceremony on April 3, approximately 300 physicians were celebrated as new recipients of the FACP® credential; 49 of those were from 17 countries outside the United States. Approximately 85 members were awarded as an MACP ® or recognized with ACP named awards, including 2 recipients of the Inspirational Global Member Award. The College bestowed Honorary Fellowships to 8 presidents of global internal medicine societies.
ACP was honored to host presidents and representatives of internal medicine societies from around the world. The international delegates were recognized on stage during the Convocation ceremony. They also participated in ACP's 18th Annual Global Forum, “Responding to Changes in the Internal Medicine Workforce: A Global Perspective,” moderated by Dr. Mukta Panda, Chair, Global Engagement Committee and Dr. Irma Ceja Martinez, ACP Regent and Vice Chair, Global Engagement Committee. The Forum provided an opportunity for ACP leaders and the presidents and special representatives from international internal medicine societies to share their regional perspectives and strategies regarding changes to the internal medicine workforce.

Andrews, MD, MACP, of Collinsville, Connecticut, became the 2025-26 Chair of the Board of Regents; Jan K. Carney, MD, MACP, of South Burlington, Vermont, became the President-elect; and Charles J. Hamori, MD, FACP, of La Mesa, California, became the Chair-elect of the Board of Regents.
