Candidate Bios

Candidate Statement: The American College of Physicians has guided my professional development through its unique blend of education, advocacy, and community - from teaching at Scientific Meetings to advocating on Capitol Hill and fostering cross-chapter collaboration as Chair of the Council of Early Career Physicians. I am originally from Brainerd, MN, and am a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. I’ve spent my career in the inpatient and outpatient settings, with a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship. I thrive on connecting people - linking students with mentors, residents with career pathways, colleagues with advocacy opportunities, and patients with care solutions. I have a reputation for getting things done, and collaborating across teams to drive meaningful change. Joining the Board of Governors would allow me to continue to serve the Internal Medicine physician community and to champion Minnesota’s legacy of medical excellence on both a state and national stage.
