Candidate Bios
Candidate Statement: Physicians have a precious opportunity and obligation to practice the Golden Rule in everything they do and at all times. This duty applies first and foremost to patients but it is also inextricably entwined with an apprenticeship profession that requires constant role modeling and nurturing of students and physicians in training. It is therefore a community and humanistic endeavor. Internists are at the forefront of care that combines science and humanism for the broadest spectrum of people. I seek to be elected to the ACP Board of Governors as someone with a longstanding practice and academic ethos that seeks to strengthen our community of patient-focused physicians in the high stakes clinical and educational environments we lead.
