Institutional Subscription Pricing and Access

Institutional customers have the option to purchase a site license or print-only subscription. Site license prices are arranged in tiers based on the size and type of institution. A site license offers your patrons seamless access at work and remotely. Access is available via IP range, Open Athens, or Shibboleth. Online access includes all content from 1993 to the present, including Online First, Multimedia, ACP Journal Club, and In the Clinic. Annals content is preserved for future generations of researchers and clinicians in a reliable, consistent, and accessible format through participation with Portico.  For more information, please visit the publisher’s page on the Portico website. Site license customers can track usage through COUNTER-compliant usage statistics and have the right to perpetual access to subscribed content. Site licenses customers have the option to purchase an associated add-on print subscription for a deeply discounted price.

Important: Annals of Internal Medicine is using theIPregistry.org data to authenticate access for subscribers. Register for free at https://app.theIPregistry.org and confirm the IPs currently registered to your institution. To communicate any IP address updates, simply log in to your account and add or delete the relevant IP address(es)*. The updates will be checked and verified before they are updated, and you’ll get an immediate error message from theIPregistry.org if you try to enter an IP address that corresponds to the wrong country or is already registered to another institution.

*You may be asked to supply supporting documentation, but this is very easy to do and can be as simple as a copy of an email, or a free text explanation from an authorized user.

Print and online subscriptions run on a rolling basis. Deeply discounted print subscriptions start with the same issue as the online site license. Print-only subscriptions begin with the next issue unless requested otherwise.
