Candidate Statement: I believe effective leadership is about empowering others, fostering collaboration, and driving meaningful change. The mission of the American College of Physicians aligns with my values and professional purpose. Over the past decade, I’ve held physician executive roles at Geisinger, most recently as Chief Medical Officer. My experience in clinical leadership, academic mentorship, and organizational transformation uniquely positions me to promote a culture of excellence in patient care and education. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and Clinical Faculty for the Northeast Internal Medicine Residency Program, I’m committed to mentoring future physicians and advancing medical education. If elected, I will bring energy, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to help shape our Chapter’s strategic direction. I aim to address physician burnout by integrating AI into clinical workflows and reducing administrative burden, while also engaging underrepresented groups and strengthening advocacy for patients, communities, and fellow physicians.

Candidate Statement: The future for physicians will likely be marked with rapid and increasing change. As an educator and researcher, I am well-versed in the threats that await future physicians. As a practicing hospitalist and Street Medicine physician, I also understand the challenges facing our patients. Threats of declining reimbursement, replacement with extenders, continued growing administrative burden and issues with the incorporation of AI are likely to continue to grow. Meanwhile the College will have to navigate its relevance to physicians who will have other choices for national representation while it continues to be an important voice both in Harrisburg and on Capitol Hill for the issues facing the generalist amid the voices of well-financed specialists. I believe my unique experiences and listening skills as well as my active participation in the trenches would make me well suited to serve the American College of Physicians in the role of governor.
