Governor's Welcome

Welcome to the ACP Maryland Chapter website! This site is designed to keep internal medicine physicians and subspecialists across Maryland informed and connected to the work, people, and opportunities within our Chapter.

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is the nation’s largest medical specialty organization, with more than 160,000 members including internal medicine physicians, medical students, and allied health professionals. Our Maryland Chapter is proud to serve a growing membership of more than 2,200 clinicians. We are your link to the national organization, your grassroots advocacy partner, and your local home for educational, professional, and social engagement. Our goal is simple: to support you throughout your career and help foster a strong, connected community of internists.

As Governor, I have the privilege of representing our Chapter to the national organization; encouraging physicians across Maryland to engage with ACP; supporting members on their path to Fellowship; recognizing the outstanding achievements of our members; and advocating on national and state policy issues that impact internal medicine and our patients. We also host local scientific meetings, CME events, and professional development opportunities, and actively encourage Medical Student Members and Resident/Fellow Members to participate in Chapter and national ACP activities. Through these efforts, we strive to enhance your ACP experience and strengthen our collective voice.

I am truly looking forward to serving you over the next four years and working together to build a more connected, inclusive, and vibrant ACP Maryland community.
Being part of ACP Maryland is like belonging to a large family of expert clinicians and leaders. The camaraderie you build here can last a lifetime and is often a steppingstone to leadership, mentorship, and professional growth. I encourage each of you to tap one colleague or friend and invite them to engage with our Chapter—you’ll be surprised how much stronger we become when we grow together.
