Candidate Bios
Candidate Statement: As a proud ACP member, I have experienced the benefits of ACP and would be honored to serve the Chapter as Governor. As Governor, I would build on the successes of the prior Governors and would work to advocate for the physicians of our state and the issues they care about. I bring experience as the current Treasurer of the West Virginia ACP Chapter and have been on the Chapter Advisory Committee and Planning Meeting Committee for the past several years. Additionally, my experience as president of the West Virginia Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine has provided me with invaluable leadership skills which I can apply to being the Governor of the West Virginia ACP Chapter. I am eager to leverage my background and passion for internal medicine to foster collaboration, promote education, and advocate for our members' needs within the West Virginia healthcare landscape.

Candidate Statement: I recognized the importance the ACP early in my career, which has led me to routinely engage with the college and strive to mirror my practice of medicine with its fundamental ideals. Of those ideals, I focus heavily on clinical care, education, and quality improvement. In my roles, I strive to implement the knowledge I gain from the ACP Meetings into my clinical and teaching duties. Furthermore, I seek selection as a nominee for Chapter’s Governor, because of my continued passion to expand the health status of the citizens of West Virginia, as well as close the gap on health disparities in our state. As I have grown as a physician, educator, and leader, I have tried to find more ways I can help the patients and providers of our state. I would welcome the opportunity to enhance policy, recruitment, and advocacy of our chapter as its governor.
